Celtic FC Women have reached a historic milestone, becoming the first Scottish club to advance to the group stages of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Under the leadership of manager Elena Sadiku, the team has been drawn into Group B, where they will face formidable opponents: Chelsea from England, Real Madrid from Spain, and Twente from the Netherlands.
In an exciting development, Celtic has announced that one of the three of the Ghirls’ home Champions League matches will be played at Celtic Park.
Alongside our permanent move to New Douglas Park, we can also confirm that one of our three home #UWCL fixtures will take place at Celtic Park 🏟️🤩

Hopefully, this means that the Ghirls can attract a big crowd, similar to the record-breaking figures we have seen over the past few years. Hopefully, we can see the return of The Celtic End.
The other two matches will be played at New Douglas Park, with the side moving away from Airdrie.
Further details regarding the full fixture schedule and timings will be announced shortly, as Celtic prepares to host some of Europe’s premier football clubs. This Champions League campaign represents a tremendous opportunity for Celtic FC Women to showcase their talents on a grand stage and to continue making history for Scottish women’s football.
Their opponents are tough; there’s no doubting that, but the experience for the players, staff and fans will be incredible.
