The Celtic women completed the whitewash over their Glasgow rivals at the weekend and are now in pole position for the second Champions League spot.

However, there was a twist in proceedings when the news filtered through Glasgow City had dropped points against Hibernian. Their gap at the top went from five points to three with just three games left on the board.

It presents an outside opportunity for Celtic to chase down the league leaders.

All the ghirls can do is win their games and see what happens.

Fran Alonso and his high flying side are up against Hibs tonight in Edinburgh. Another win will keep them in second spot and hopefully consolidate the position.

The game kicks off at 7:15pm and will be aired on Hibernian’s Facebook page as a live stream.

It’s exciting times for the ghirls and we’re delighted to be covering the action as it unfolds.
