Celtic women need to quickly come down from their high of a Wednesday night as they get set to take on Hibernian this Sunday.

The Ghirls made headlines with a famous Celtic Park win against our Glasgow rivals and have closed the gap on second spot.

It’s back to K-Park for them on Sunday afternoon and a chance for Fran Alonso and his team to make sure they stay the course.

It was a resolute performance against a tough Rangers women side. We needed that bit of luck on the night to secure the victory but once we got ahead, the ghirls seen out the final ten minutes with relative ease and almost got a second.

Mariah Lee was the hero coming from off the bench. Will she get a nod in the starting XI for her midweek heroics?

It could be too soon for captain Kelly Clark to start the game after coming on as a late sub on Wednesday. The defender has been nursing an injury.

Glasgow City continued their relentless form and right now it looks like it’s their title to lose. There could be more twists and turns on the way before this season is in the history books.

It would be a major ask to expect Celtic to win the title in their first full time season but getting a coveted champions league spot for finishing second is within their grasp.

Elsewhere at the weekend; Glasgow City are away to Hearts and Rangers Women are at home to Forfar.

The game against Hibernian will be live on BBC Alba – Kick Off time 16:10. can the ghirls make it four wins on the spin? Let’s hope so.
