A lot has been made of Celtic’s loan signing over the past three months.

A 19-year-old Daniel Arzani came into the club during the summer off the back of being the youngest player at the World Cup.

The hope was, he was ready to go and Brendan Rodgers would look to get him straight into the Celtic side.

However, with no appearances to date and the Celtic boss saying the youngster is still way off being called up to the first team, there are reports that Manchester City have a call back clause in the deal which now could be used to bring the young Australian star back to the Etihad to be loaned out elsewhere.

According to the World Game, and their ‘contacts’ in Glasgow – Brendan Rodgers is not as high on the midfielder as some back in his home country.

The Celtic manager did not include Arzani in his Europa League squad and said the player needs to earn his way to the first team.

If City believe the player’s development is best served elsewhere then Celtic hands might be tied.

  1. if citeh decide to shorten the loan then fine, he’s their player, but let’s make it the last time we take on one of their silver-spoon prospects. If the player is making noises….punt him now. Not willing to put in the work?
