The winger was involved with the first team’s training session on Wednesday as they prepared to take on Bodo/Glimt in the Conference league. Pictured by Celtic, Karamoko was back with the group to break into the first team.
The English youth international’s contract expires at the end of the season. His future is hanging in the balance. Playing first-team action would be highly beneficial for the player, forcing the hand of Postecoglou and landing a new deal or, if he sees his future elsewhere, attracting potential suitors.
The talent hasn’t had a chance to show supporters why he was so highly rated coming up through the youth academy, and maybe he will get his chance now.
James Forrest is no longer the player he once was, and it is unlikely he ever will be. Karamoko may snatch his place and push the on-form Liel Abada, who currently has the right-wing position nailed down.
