Celtic youngster Liam Hughes has completed a move to English Premier League giants Liverpool.

The 19-year old, Northern Irish goalkeeper first joined the club back in 2018 from Dungannon and now looks to have taken another impressive step in his career joining Liverpool.

However, it is extremely disappointing to see the club losing yet more young talent after seeing the likes of Cameron Harper reportedly leaving at the end of the season, plus the likes of Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn to Bayern Munich.

Now, of course, these are massive clubs and will seem like exciting moves for our young players but it is still very frustrating to see players leave without being given much chance at all or even being provided with a pathway into the first team.

That is something that needs to change at the club going forward. Youth should be one of the big focuses for a club like Celtic as we look to develop and created more talents for the future.
