QUEENS PARK have announced the season-long loan signing of Brodie Paterson from Celtic’s youth academy. The youngster has not been in contention for a first-team squad place and with no games, at youth level it’s for the best he heads out to gain much-needed experience.

There have been a few loan deals for youngsters as of late and Brodie joins the growing list of Celtic hopefuls on the road. Lee O’Connor is at Tranmere Rovers while Jonathan Afalobi joined Dundee last week. Scott Robertson also heading south to seek first-team football.

Some senior players have also gone out; Jack Hendry and Vakoun Bayo being the notable two. Both were surplus to requirements and are both looking beyond Celtic in their career after this season.

Brody goes to Queens park with a point to prove but can also stay local so there’s little disruption to his life outside of football.
