Mitchel Frame is set to leave Celtic, with Aberdeen agreeing a deal to bring the young left-back north on a permanent transfer.
The two clubs have struck a six-figure agreement, with a significant sell-on clause included in the deal.

Frame, a product of the Celtic academy, first joined the club aged just nine. After rising through the youth ranks, he signed his first development contract in July 2022 and became a regular with the B team before stepping up to join the senior squad for pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
He marked a milestone moment almost two years ago when he made his senior debut as a substitute in a 2–1 win over Feyenoord at Celtic Park – a result which delivered the club’s first home victory in the Champions League in over a decade. That appearance, though brief, etched his name into a notable moment in recent Celtic European history. But he’s been a missing man since then, and may have probably forgotten the name.
He has struggled with injury.
Despite extending his deal until 2026, Frame looks set to continue his development at Pittodrie under Jimmy Thelin. With Kieran Tierney back at the club, and Marcelo Saracchi arriving on loan, first-team opportunities were always going to be limited this season. He hasnt had a sniff this season, with Scales and Inamura playing out there ahead of him.
Aberdeen appear to be getting a promising full-back with top-level exposure and room to grow, while Celtic maintain an interest in his future via the sell-on clause. It marks another departure from a youth system that continues to produce talent, even if not all find their long-term home at Parkhead.
