CELTIC have been reportedly told they would have to stump up another record fee in the same season to land one of their top targets.

Brendan Rodgers seems to be keen on Timothy Castagne coming into the club to solve his right back problem BUT it has emerged Atalanta are playing hardball.

It was thought it could have been easier than expected at first with Castagne not holding down a regular place with the Italian side and the player himself actively pushing for a move if he isn’t going to be able to cement that spot.

However, in today’s SunSport, it claims it will take Celtic putting down £10million for the new Belgium International if they want to take him to Glasgow.

Timothy spoke a few weeks back about preferring a move to Germany or England also – we are not sure if the defender was aware of Celtic’s interest when he made that statement.

It looks like Celtic will have to dig deep or go on to their next target if these reports are accurate.
