Peter Lawwell has now left the building. The former CEO will Reps resent Celtic at the ECA as he’s board member for the next two years.

The price of football has published Peter’s wages since joining the club and how much the club has paid the executive over the years to run the business.

Before anyone gets annoyed – Celtic’s records are public for anyone who wants to see them and the compensation of executives is also disclosed.

The Price of Football account revealed Peter had been paid £16m over the price since being appointed by Dermot Desmond all those years ago.

Did he steady the ship and put Celtic on a good financial footing? Yes.

Did Peter undersell and under push Celtic at times — if you’re answer isn’t yes, you’re kidding yourself on.

The chief executive has been paid handsomely and stayed at Celtic over triple the average lifespan of a normal chief executive in other businesses.

Peter has had his ups and his downs at Celtic but they’ve made him a very rich man. The former CEO also owns a decent amount of shares in the club that he bought himself over the years.

Dom McKay’s compensation will likely be available in next years accounts.

  1. The Chief Executive was paid handsomely because he was one of the best in the business. We’ll realise soon enough the void he’ll leave behind.

    • Yes, and I cant wait to have someone who is capable of closing a deal for signing a player in less than the 3 months it took Pedro…

  2. The John McGinn fiasco was his calling. A blunder from start to finish. The guy is being touted by Man U. His involvement in the 5-way agreement is another disaster. You let us down Peter, but we will move on just as you will.
