After a day of rumours and quotes from Israel it appears the transfer of Ismaila Soro to Celtic is edging closer.

The fee for the defensive midfielder is quoted at £2m by RecordSport and they go one further claiming the club hope to have that deal done in the next 24 hours.

As we know with Celtic though, when someone says it will be done within 24 hours a random delay can halt proceedings and leave supporters frustrated.

Case and point – Patryk Klimala has been in Glasgow for 24 hours and arrived at Celtic Park at 11am on Monday morning, yet there’s no white smoke as we sit on Tuesday morning. That deal is £3.5m, which is also cited by RecordSport.

If these reports are accurate, Celtic will likely have two players in by the end of the week with £5.5m spent between them.

Klimala and Soro are both young players with great potential. Celtic fans appreciate these sorts of signings but it would be great to get some experience in the door before February.

  1. Well i would think when you outlay millions then a higher return when you sell i just hope with the two new faces and any more that sign that they get game time and shows us what they can do and are not just here making up numbers, football is a Squad game you can give any 14 players game time week in week out but we seem to use the same old faces week in week out we need to buy in players to fit in to to team in a like for like and use creatine so we get high energy on that pitch so we do not play another game like that last one or we will win nothing more..
