CHRIS SUTTON has urged the Celtic board to resist the urge to sell Moussa Dembele this summer should offers start coming in for the striker.

The Frenchman has two-years left on his current deal and many, including Brendan Rodgers himself seen a two season cycle for the player at the club which has now run its course.

However, all has been quiet with regards to bid for the talisman – Sutton attributes that to the World Cup still going on and believes there may be bids ahead.

BUT Celtic should think twice because the striker could single handily bring them the £60million Champions League bounty up for grabs.

Writing in his Daily Record column, Sutton was clear what Celtic need to do.

‘Moussa Dembele could make Celtic a whopping £60million this season.

‘Like many, I expected his next career step to come this summer. With two years served on his contract and two remaining, it looked like the optimum time to be selling him for the full amount.

‘But looking at Dembele I feel things have changed and Celtic could be in position to hit the jackpot by NOT selling right now.’

Moussa has looked sharp coming back after the holidays and linked up well with Odsonne Edouard in the bhoys first competitive game of the season.

Both of them could fire them to a massive European bounty.

Chris is right when he says Celtic must endeavour to keep Moussa for now – he’s more valuable to the squad than he is being sold.
