Celtic have had a mediocre season when it comes to performances – a bad start, with an excellent wee run in the middle before cooling off again. Results have come but the performances have been lacking. Not lacking in the sense we should be battering every team 5-0 but the laboured, frustrated and ponderous performances we’ve all had to suffer has been far from ideal.

While it’s difficult to single anyone out when things aren’t up to scratch across the board, I have to say I’m a little disappointed by Oliver Ntcham this season. Yes, the player has had some injury problems but over the piece, I expected more from the player. After a decent first season, his undeniable talent means I’m maybe going to judge him to a higher standard than others.

Ntcham’s Glasgow Derby performance at Celtic Park back in September was outstanding, he stole the show and got the winning goal. However, he’s never really got out of second gear beyond that game and some are likening his performances to former player Samaras – you know within the first five minutes of a match if the Frenchman is up for it or not.

Celtic handed Ntcham a larger contract at the back end of last year to make him more content after Porto came sniffing about and Peter Lawwell must be thinking what he’s done at this point. Brendan Rodgers wanted to keep the player for obvious reasons but the season has panned out in a way we wouldn’t have missed the player too much.

Going into next season, I have high hopes the player can shake off this poor form and become a top star for the Celtic side again. His talent is there, his reading of the game is there but his execution is lacking and he must strive to do better.

  1. Sure. The fact that a lying scumbag lowlife so called Celtic fan manager tried to drop us in it at one hours notice had nothing to do with any of that of course! Shitbag had planned running away all season and blame everyone except him. Rodgers is a lowlife who caused our issues this season. Blamed Dembele yet was exposed just as Dembele said he would be.
