The 31st of January, otherwise known as transfer deadline day in the footballing world, could prove to be a busy 24 hours for Ange Postecoglou and Celtic.

As we approach the final day of the winter window, so far, Postecoglou has brought in five new additions – Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi, Johnny Kenny and Matt O’Riley – with the majority of the club’s dealings coming at the early stages of the month.

Tomorrow could prove to be a busy day for those at the club, but not for incomings, and the focus will likely be on those heading for the exit door.

Postecoglou has certainly been keen to mention that process in his last few press conferences, as fringe players at Parkhead look towards an exit in the hunt for regular game time elsewhere.

The club could even see upwards of six players exit on the final day of the transfer window, according to a report from the Scotsman, with Vasilas Barkas, Albian Ajeti, Boli Bolingoli and Ismaila Soro all facing the exit door, as well as loan deals for the likes of Adam Montgomery and Osaze Urhoghide.

Who knows, we might even be sprung one last transfer surprise/curveball by those at the club, with one final addition on the last day of the window to add to the squad – we can all hope.

But, as Postecoglou has stressed, outgoings will be the main focus in the final 24 hours or so.
