CELTIC had no Champions League qualifiers to play this season, with last season’s league triumph putting the Bhoys straight into the group stages of the competition.

The Scottish champions have waited patiently to find out their opponents for the group stages, but the wait is now over. Celtic has been drawn into Group F along with Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shaktar Donesk.

By no means is this an easy group, but European football after Christmas is doable. Celtic should be able to pick up some points in Glasgow and hopefully pick up a few on their travels.

All in all, it’s a great group that Celtic have a chance of qualifying from.

A few good away days are included in the draw, something that will excite some Celtic supporters.

The fixtures will emerge shortly, with authorities checking over dates. These should be released to the Celtic support tonight.

It’s an exciting draw, one that I can’t wait to see play out over the next couple of months.
