ROSENBORG have sensationally sacked their manager Kåre Ingebrigtsen a week before their Parkhead Champions League showdown.

The Norweigan club barely scraped by their first qualifier with Valur – a contentious 92nd minute penalty was the difference on Wednesday night.

With the team struggling the board has decided to part ways with Ingebrigtsen with immediate effect.

KÃ¥re has been the Rosenborg manager since 2014 and brought his side to Celtic Park last year with the bhoys going through.

Rosenborg have scheduled a press conference for later this evening.

The team is due at Celtic Park in six days time to play the first leg of their Champions League qualifier.

This will be good news for Celtic.

  1. Same thing happened to Anderliech, but they hit their stride at Paradise. I see what you mean?? Have to wait until the away leg. Even if The Hoops win by more than one goal. Go Uncle Brendans charges..

  2. £22 for season ticket holders. Celtic screwed over by UEFA, sonin turn screw over the fans.
Board are probably secretly happy with this extra round so they can get an extra million quid from the fans.
