Celtic have announced a friendly with Belgian side Standard Liege as part of their preseason schedule.
However, the game is pencilled in for the 14th July at home, three or four days removed from the first leg of their first Champions league qualifier.
The timing of the game seems a little odd with it being during a critical qualifier.
But if you look at the dates for following qualifiers there is very little time for Celtic to catch their breath the further they progress.
This means Celtic will have to juggle the rigours of a normal preseason while trying not to slip up in the precarious qualifiers.

Looks a lot there. Well. be a minefield once Celtic qualify. If not, more ground to cover. More cash lost for transfer’s, less cash to improve the supporters welfare. Less cash for the Directors to squirrel away though.
