Reports this morning claim Neil Lennon and Celtic are trying to extend the loan deal of Daniel Arzani beyond the summer. The World Game have reported the Scottish Champions will look to keep the Australian at the club for the foreseeable future.
This would make perfect sense the 20-year-old lost a whole year of his Celtic career to injury.
It would also give Neil Lennon the freedom to bring the midfielder into the fold knowing he’s not heading anywhere anytime soon.
The problem with the Benkovic deal last season was by the time Neil Lennon came in and the player was fit to go again, the Irishman chose to play Jozo at centre back because Filip was only going to be at the club just a few more months.
If Celtic can tie up Arzani, it would be a low risk, high reward deal. There are a lot of moving parts in any deal to keep him at the club. We’ll have to wait and see.
