NEIL LENNON has told the Hibs supporters that the ball is in Celtic’s court with regards to Scott Allan’s future.

Allan spoke recently of wanting to stay at Hibs beyond his 6-month loan deal but the Hibs boss is taking nothing for granted and admitted it’s not down to him at this stage.

“Scotty is obviously a Celtic player, so it’s great that he’d like to come back but that would be Celtic’s decision and not ours.

“He’s a player who blossomed again and had a fantastic second half of the season.”

With John McGinn in the last year of his contract with Celtic reportedly interested in the player’s services – it’s thought a cash plus player deal could be worked out between the two sides.

Nothing has been able to happen at this stage with John away on international duty with Scotland over the past two weeks.

If Celtic are interested then the next week or two will be very telling.

Allan could get his wish of re-signing with Hibs where he has had a lot of success in his career.
