KELLY CLARK reached 200 games for Celtic on Sunday afternoon, helping the hoops to a thumping 6-0 win over their Glasgow rivals Partick Thistle.

It was a great occasion for the Celtic women’s captain who has helped oversee the massive transition between part time and the full time setup.

Celtic are slowly but surely making progress and hope after a successful transfer window they’re ready to challenge Glasgow City who are going through their own transition.

City couldn’t beat Fran Alonso’s side a few weeks back – they took a two goal lead over Celtic but the spirit of the team was immense and the ghirls pulled the game back to 2-2.

On Sunday, Partick Thistle were no match for Celtic.

A hat-trick for Charlie Wellings was another highlight of a great outing for the Ghirls.

The ghirls got off to a great start and never looked back.

Goals:

13′ Charlie wellings
33′ Kathleen McGovern
43′ Charlie wellings
63′ Charlie wellings
85′ Maria Gros
88′ Mengyu Shen

Fran Alonso was delighted after the match to see his ghirls gelling well.

Kelly Clark was obviously delighted to help the team to another victory. There will be harder challenges to come but seeing this team grow and grow is a pleasure.

Here is Kelly with her thoughts on the game and her outstanding achievement of 200 appearances.
