It has been a long time coming but Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton will START Celtic’s Reserve game against Hibernian this afternoon as he continues the final stage of his recovery.

The Israeli International has been on the sidelines since February and has undergone surgery to fix a severe knee problem.

After countless months out and very demanding rehab, the midfielder is now in a position to play competitive football.

Nir will start in the midfield for the bhoys this afternoon and will play alongside future Celtic stars including Armstrong Oko-Flex and PJ Crossan.

Nir has spoken about making his full first-team return and this is the final step before being brought back into the fold. There was a closed door match organised for the Celtic player last week and now he will put his fitness to the test against a very good Hibs reserve side.

Hopefully Nir comes through the game unscathed.
