CELTIC will fly out to the Czech Republic next week to take on Jablonec in a Europa league qualifier. The Hoops dropped down into the competition after a defeat to Danish side Midtjylland in the second round of Champions League qualifiers.

Jablonec are unknown to most supporters but Celtic have to be wary of the threat they carry. However, if the club were scouting their Euro rivals on Saturday they will have been given a confidence boost.

The Czech club were soundly beaten 3-0 away from home against Mladá Boleslav.

Jablonec won their opening game of the Czech season a week ago but on Saturday they found the going very tough. It’s not the best preparation going into a Euro tie.

Celtic will have the chance to build some momentum if they can get a win over Hearts on Saturday evening. The bhoys face one of the toughest away days in the league on the first day of the season. We haven’t looked too clever so far, but we must go all out for the win and hopefully send us on our way to play Jablonec on Saturday with the wind in our sails.
