CRAIG GORDON going down with a long term injury was never part of the plan and it set off a chain of events that would see Celtic chase a number of goalkeepers as back up to their own back up Dorus de Vries.

In the end, after many bids and back and forth Celtic landed Scott Bain on-loan from Dundee in a triangle transfer which saw Celtic’s Scott Allan move from Dundee to Hibs, Dundee’s Scott Bain move to Celtic from Hibs and Hibs player Simon Murray head to Dundee. Following?

Neil Lennon is said to be still keen on Scott Bain after initially landing him at the start of the window, only for the player to end up at Celtic by the end of it.

With the 26-year-old coming to the end of his contract, there have been reports Neil Lennon will go back in for Scott Bain and offer him a pre-contract to join the Edinburgh side in the summer!

So the guy who was at Hibs, who went back to Dundee to be loaned to Celtic may very well end up back at Hibs come August. Unless Celtic make a play for the goalkeeper full time, which remains to be seen.

Scott is likely to keep his options open right now and will try to prove his worth to Celtic before he makes any real decision on his future.

It’s making us dizzy!
