Celtic have a massive week in terms of build-up and preparation for yet another Hampden Park semi-final. Recent history has been good for Celtic but the fans latest hero Kris Ajer knows the Dons present one of the leagues toughest challenges.

Despite Celtic’s dominance over Derek McIness Aberdeen team, the young Norwegian knows him and his teammates all need to give a 100% for a ticket to the final.

The young defender was speaking with Record Sport

“There’s a new game coming up there next weekend and it’s one we have to win. “We have our targets this season and we have a massive game coming up against Aberdeen.

“We know we are going to have to be 100 per cent up for it if we are going to win the game. Hopefully, we can do that.

“There’s a lot of tough teams. For example, Livingston made it very difficult for us again on Saturday. It’s the second 0-0 we have had with them this season and that tells you a lot about their defending.

“I think there’s a lot of great teams, but Aberdeen is one of the toughest.”

Ajer is a real fan favourite at the moment. His defensive displays in the last couple of weeks have everyone talking about him. His runs forward into opposition territory give flashbacks of a certain VVD. It’s probably a strange thing to say about a defender but he could do with popping up with the odd goal. Celtic enjoy a lot of corners with a very low conversion rate.
