CELTIC are currently upgrading the banners at Celtic Park, and as we get closer to the beginning of the new season, it’s taking shape.

The banners started going up last week and fans who travelled to the game against Norwich would have got a glimpse of the new design.

Over the weekend, only the text and Celtic logo was visible on the new look. However, today, the official Celtic social media accounts posted this update.

Billy McNeill taking his place on the stadium for years to come is absolutely the right call.

Celtic’s greatest ever captain is already immortalised at the end of the Celtic Way with an outstanding statue, but having him on the stadium banners is also a very nice touch.

We can’t wait to see if the club put more legends beside him in the coming hours and days.

The banners should be ready to go for the Aberdeen game on Sunday when the Hoops unfurl the league flag.

  1. What I can so far is disappointing! The space below the letter head design should be used up with action pictures or trophies. Hopefully that is just a tease/joke!
