CELTIC have sent out a defiant message as they confirmed the club would be airing Celtic’s Europa League tie live to subscribers in the UK and Ireland.

Supporters had to wait for the announcement about where they could watch the game if they couldn’t be live in person but now they can indeed see Celtic take on AIK.

Celtic’s multimedia man Gerry McCulloch sent out a defiant tweet this evening regarding the broadcast when he confirmed his co- commentator for the evening will be Tom Boyd.

Tom has been under scrutiny for questioning a blatant wrong decision by John Beaton during Saturday’s cup game against Dunfermline. Beaton refused to give Celtic a penalty even though it was pretty straight forward, leading Boyd to question Beaton’s thinking.

The media hype surrounding his comments have reached the SFA with claims of the club maybe being cited because of Boyd’s comments.

Celtic and Gerry McCulloch have made it clear there thoughts on the matter by making sure Boyd is on the mic for the Europa League tie.

The former Celtic captain has our full support.

  1. Only in Scotland will you be pilloried for speaking the truth, a word that very few understand outside of the Celtic family.
