BRENDAN RODGERS yesterday confirmed they have sent Oliver Ntcham for a scan after the player pulled up during their Dubai winter training camp.

The Frenchman complained of a tight hamstring during a warm weather session with the rest of the squad and sat out the rest of training.

Brendan Rodgers confirmed what has gone on.

“Olivier felt his hamstring tight yesterday in training so he’s going to have a scan on that. I’m not sure it’s serious but he just felt it tightening.” he told CelticTV.

“I think these days everything gets scanned, so we’ll see. It may be something slight but we shall see.”

Olivier Ntcham has not been in the best of form lately with many believing his performances have not warranted a place in the team.

The midfielder was in the starting XI for the defeat at Ibrox and done very little.

Celtic have a big second half of the season coming up and they need their best players fit. There’s no doubt that on his day, Ntcham can be a difference maker. Celtic already have Kieran Tierney out and Tom Rogic is likely to be unavailable for their January games.

Hopefully the scan reveals there is nothing to worry about.
