The international break gives us a chance to pause and look ahead to what’s next for Celtic when the players head back to Lennoxtown later this month.

This whole season is hectic; fixtures being crammed in wherever possible and competitions rushed.

It feels like we can’t get a proper run together because of European games being played every week, cup games also intruding as well.

Out of Celtic’s next seven fixtures, only three are SPFL games.

See Below.

Hibernian is up first for the Scottish champion, a very hard place to go and get a result. Neil Lennon will have to go back to his former club and put them to the sword or the knives will be sharpening for him.

Then three games in between the Hibernian and the St Johnstone game are two Europa League ties and a League cup tie yet to be drawn.

Europe appears to be gone for this season and while Celtic fans have their mind on other things, we still have to play these fixtures and try not to be embarrassed like we were against Prague.

The eighth fixture which is not in the graphic will be the Scottish Cup final from last season. So only three of our next eight fixtures are SPFL related. When you want to get on a run and rack up points, it’s hardly ideal.
