The Glasgow giants clinched the Scottish Premiership title with a commanding eight-point lead, surpassing the margins from Ange Postecoglou’s previous two seasons, and also triumphed in the Scottish Cup thanks to a dramatic last-minute goal from Adam Idah in a tense final.

Overall, despite the challenges and setbacks, it was another great season for the Hoops.

Brendan Rodgers and his staff will be looking at their transfer kitty and how to add experience and quality to the ranks for their upcoming season.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the earnings:

  1. Scottish Premiership: Celtic’s league victory brought in £4,272,500 in prize money.
  2. Scottish Cup: The victory in this historic competition added another £609,000 to their coffers.
  3. League Cup: Because of an early exit from the competition, Celtic only earned £82,000.
  4. European Competitions: Celtic’s adventures in Europe proved to be highly lucrative, with the club earning a whopping £30,046,454.

All figures are taken from @SPFLWatch on X which shows Celtic were top of the prize money charts in Scotland. The closest to the Scottish Champions was Rangers who bagged around £21m in prize money from domestic competitions and a Europa League run.

Given Celtic’s robust financial situation, this money further bolsters our coffers. Next season will see the Hoops earn a record-breaking amount in the Champions League, the bhoys will play EIGHT games instead of six in the initial phase of the new format. It means more TV revenue share, gate receipts, and prize money.

It’s one thing having a large bank account, but how the board uses it will be key.
