Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist is reportedly waiting on an offer from Celtic before deciding on his future elsewhere.

As reported by the72, clubs such as Ipswich have shown an interest in 29-year old goalkeeper. However, Siegrist is holding out for an offer from the Hoops hoping that he will be at Parkhead next season.

Dundee United finished the season in 9th place, just one point behind St Mirren in 7th. In their first season back in the top flight of Scottish Football, it was somewhat of a successful campaign, also playing in a Scottish Cup semi-final.

A lot of praise has gone to the Swiss goalkeeper, playing a key part in the United side impressing with his performances at times.

The goalkeeping position is certainly one that will need to be resolved with three keepers rotating between the sticks last season under Neil Lennon.

It remains to be seen what a new manager may think of the three when he comes into place.

Although Siegrist might be holding out hope of an offer coming in. You wouldn’t expect Celtic to come in at any point soon, if at all come the end of the summer.
