The bhoy may have only played around fifteen minutes for the club since coming in last summer but the news coming out of Lennoxtown that a certain Australian midfielder is back on the training field is excellent news for Celtic.
Daniel Arzani was brought into the club by Brendan Rodgers last summer after the player made a move from Australia to Manchester City who quickly loaned him out to the bhoys.
After starring in last summer’s World Cup for his country, Arzani had to bide his time for a Celtic start and when it finally did come it was over before it even really began.
The attacking midfielder landed awkwardly during his debut at Dundee, coming off the bench as a late substitute. It would transpire the youngster had torn his ACL and would need an operation as well as lengthy rehab to bring him back to full fitness.
Spending his time between Glasgow, Spain (where he was doing rehab) and Australia, the midfielder has got to a place where he can now take to the Lennoxtown training field once again.
The player might only be on loan at Celtic Park but we have Arzani for another year which means he could become a massive player for the club next season all going well.
He still has to work through the latter part of his rehab and an appearance before the end of the season might be too soon, but it looks like the player will be ready come the summer and he could be the club’s secret weapon come the Euro qualifiers!
