CELTIC will be keeping hold of their long term physio Tim Williamson after Manchester Utd reportedly tried and failed to land him.

SunSport report Tim was open to a move to Old Trafford and talks were at an advanced stage before a breakdown between the club and the physio meant Tim telling them where to go.

Williamson has had two different spells at Celtic during his career and was brought back to prominence under Brendan Rodgers after Ronny Deila and his own backroom team left the club.

He is an important part of the Celtic backroom team but Manchester Utd were keen to get Tim into the club. The report claims the breakdown happened after Manchester Utd failed to get back to the physio about his relocation before the agreed-upon time. When they weren’t forthcoming, Tim pulled the plug on the deal.

It’s good news for Celtic with the bhoys not needing to search for a new top class physio.
