The Rangers’ defeat at Aberdeen has given Celtic fans the chance to get their own bunting out for the King’s coronation and celebrate the weekend!

The Bhoys stumbled for the first time at home this season with a draw against Motherwell, giving The Rangers the opportunity to delay the title party.

But a stunning 2-0 triumph by Aberdeen, with on-loan Celtic defender Liam Scales and Macedonian Bojan Miovski securing the win, means Celtic have now extended their lead to 13 points with just five games left to play.

The SPFL is expected to announce the post-split fixtures shortly, and it’s highly unlikely that the Glasgow derby will be scheduled for matchday 34, meaning Celtic could clinch the title at Celtic Park against Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs or St Mirren.

While the venue for the title-deciding match is uncertain, Celtic are guaranteed to play at least two of their final five games at home.

The champagne has been put on ice and now we’re waiting on the Hoops to get us over the line!
