UEFA have confirmed Celtic’s squad for their two legged tie against Midtjylland in the Champions League qualifiers.
The squad had to be submitted last week ahead of Tuesday’s tie at Celtic Park.
There are two glaring omissions from the squad; Kristoffer Ajer and perhaps more surprisingly, Oli Ntcham.
We say Ntcham is more of a surprise because we’re expecting Kristoffer Ajer to leave the club shortly. There has been talk of Ntcham staying at the club beyond this window but this squad would suggest otherwise.
Don’t worry when you don’t see the likes of Dembele and Welsh – they will make up the B list which is yet to be confirmed by UEFA.
The squad as it stands looks weak. The two new bhoys Liel Abada and Kyogo Furahashi will play no part in the tie – unless Celtic choose to enter Abada into the squad 24 hours before the tie.
You can add one player to your squad up to 24 hours before if there’s a sufficient spot for them.
Celtic have it all to do.
