REPORTS in France claim Celtic are interested in taking Manchester City frontman Thierry Ambrose to the club on a season-long loan.

The striker was on-loan to NAC Breda last term and can play up front or on the right hand side as part of a front three.

However, it seems that someone has either jumped the gun or are blatantly trying to whip up interest in the player by linking him with the Scottish Champions.

At this point, there seems to be no contact between the clubs over any deal for Ambrose and it looks more likely the player’s agent might be up to a bit of mischief.

Celtic have just signed Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal so there is no way the club is looking for another striker at present and the plethora of attacking midfielders would make it even more crowded if Rodgers chose that route.

  1. Brendan’s ethos of playing out from the back requires players who dont make mistakes, so strengthening the defence is a priority if we’re going to make progress in Europe. A strong CH and RB will go a long way in achieving that goal. COYBIG HH

  2. Nowing Brendan, and his backroom staff. Anyone promoted or purchased will have to be two footed defenders. No more of that old pi5h of left footed defenders at right back. GTFWT
