Celtic’s Scotland contingency this afternoon, jetted off for their warm-weather camp ahead of the Euros.

Ahead of this summer’s competition Steve Clarke and his squad are off to Spain in Costa Blanca for a training camp – also taking in two friendlies against Netherlands and Luxembourg.

As reported by Sun Sport, of course, some of the Scots will meet up with the squad in Spain a little later but with Celtic’s season coming to an end on the 15th of May, it has allowed them to jet off with the squad this afternoon.

Within the squad, several Celtic names are part of the 26-man squad for the nations first tournament in 20 + years with Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, Greg Taylor, David Turnbull, James Forrest and loanee Jack Hendry all making the cut.

Some of those players could have a big impact on this tournament, with McGregor and Christie, in particular, having a big impact on Clarke’s squad since he took charge. Whilst others will be looking to make an impact in other ways.

It is very much an exciting prospect to see our nation head to an international tournament once again.
