Just as we gave him some praise for tipping Celtic for tipping Celtic to win against Lazio, Charlie Nicholas didn’t wait too long before giving us his next opinion.
Nicholas had a go at Odsonne Edouard this season already for not celebrating his goals in a more frantic and passionate fashion. The Frenchman replying at the time on social media saying he would celebrate how he wants.
Nicholas continued his below par opinion of Edouard who he does credit with being a better all around striker than anybody else in the SPFL but quickly says Edouard needs a ‘streetfighter’ instinct.
“As for the Edouard/Morelos debate, the Frenchman is a better all-round player than the Colombian.” Nicholas told the Express as cited by SunSport.
“What Morelos has got is that bit of streetfighter in him that Edouard lacks in his game.
“Edouard is far more important to Celtic than Morelos is to Rangers, though, as Jermain Defoe’s goals will tell you.
“But they are two terrific marksmen and Scottish football should enjoy them while they still can.”
He again goes to the fact Odsonne doesn’t froth at the mouth or scowl like an idiot in order to play football – it’s preposterous! Some players need to play on those emotions, the Celtic striker has the genuine quality talent to stay cool and play his game. It’s why when he was one on one with the Hearts goalkeeper at Hampden in May he smashed the ball home, it’s why he scored against the Ibrox club in September and it will be why Celtic go onto win the league.
Eddy’s good but he doesn’t snarly at anybody, great Charlie.
