Hot off the heels of predicting Celtic would be too scared to get a result against Rennes in France, Charlie Nicholas has hit out with more anti-Celtic rhetoric and this time it’s Odsonne Edouard who is in his path.

The former Celtic player has claimed Edouard looks like he can’t be bothered and it irritates him when the Frenchman doesn’t properly celebrate a goal.

Anyone who is still defending Charlie as a Celtic man after this would be best getting their head check – a totally unprovoked and ill-thought attack on a Celtic player who is continuing to score goals for the club.

“Odsonne Edouard is the top striker in Scotland but Alfredo Morelos is starting to close the gap.” Charlie told the Express as cited by Sunsport.

“The Celtic frontman is a better all-round footballer, although he has this slightly annoying habit of looking too casual and uninterested a lot of the time.

“It’s as if he can’t be took fussed in the so-called lesser games.

The thing that irritates me more than anything is his lack of celebration when he scores.

“It should be the greatest feeling in the world but Odsonne doesn’t show that.

“The Frenchman has shone on the big stage and he has a growing composure in front of goal.

“People are already saying he is better than Moussa Dembele, who left for £20m but I’m not so sure.”

This is going out of your way to be negative about Celtic and their players. You have a striker in Odsonne Edouard who won us the treble treble in May, score so many vital goals and scored another two at the weekend to make sure of another three points and Charlie is chanting about how he celebrates.

Celtic man Charlie? Not a chance.
