There wasn’t much to smile about at Celtic Park on Thursday night but one of the highlights of the night was a young Celtic fan bagging a match ball on the fly with help from his Dad.

The young Celtic fan looked on edge as the ball was put at his feet and with the BT camera’s firmly on them, they played it cool before the cameras went back to the action.

On the pitch it was a different story for Celtic who looked out their depth as Valencia picked a nervous group of Celtic players off on an anti climactic night in Glasgow.

The atmosphere was red hot but the more the game went on the more Celtic were making the crowd nervous with stuttering passes and putting themselves under immense pressure.

Not long before half time, Valencia took the lead with Celtic players chasing shadows. Not long after the interval, the Spaniards made it 2-0 and game over for the hapless bunch.

At least the young lad bagged himself a ball.
