It was a guarded Chris Davis who faced media questions today at Celtic Park. Questions mainly involving the signing of Marvin Compper and if there will be much movement in the upcoming transfer window.
On the Compper signing the Celtic Assistant Manager said:
“Fits the profile of what we see as a good centre-half. It’s probably not right to talk too much about a player who’s not ours yet”
Regarding more player signings in January Davis had this to say:
“I don’t envisage January being particularly busy for us. We’ll recruit where needed and some players may move on as the squad evolves. We have a strong squad with good players but we’re always looking to improve.”
Not what Celtic fans will want to hear but it can also be taken with a pinch of salt.
[…] The fact that Brendan Rodgers was absent yesterday and left media duties to his Assistant Chris Davi… It would have needed to be something important for Rodgers to miss the arrival of Marvin Compper to Glasgow yesterday. […]
