CELTIC were on the receiving end of multiple poor refereeing decisions. Beaton looked to give as many things against Celtic as he could.
After the referee disallowed Celtic’s goal for a supposed handball, Chris Sutton claimed Beaton didn’t know the laws of the game.
It was another poor performance from the man in the middle. He got countless decisions wrong. What’s worse is that I’m convinced Beaton would stick by his decisions with VAR.
Speaking live on Premier Sports, the former Celtic striker replied to Currie suggesting that Beaton didn’t know the rules of the game, saying;
“You’d expect John Beaton to know the laws of the game. That’s the bottom line and he clearly didn’t.”
Celtic eased to victory, with little help from the ref.
Giakoumakis got his fifth goal in two starts, with McGregor getting on the scoresheet.
Karamoko Dembele also got a run-out, and he, too, was on the end of a poor decision from the referee. Dancing with the ball at his feet in the box, he received a push and fell to the ground. To his amazement, Beaton signalled for a goal-kick.
