Former Celtic striker and Sky Sports pundit Chris Sutton has reacted to the Hoops’ 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this afternoon.

Sutton, always an outspoken critic and fan of the Bhoys, took to X to share his thoughts after the victory.

The Scottish Premiership title race continues to heat up, and every match feels like a must-win for Celtic, with no room for error due to Aberdeen’s form.

Schmeichel was certainly a standout this afternoon and, put simply, kept Celtic in the game at times.

If not for his shot-stopping ability, Kilmarnock would have scored, and the confidence he brought meant the Hoops were able to go forward and score.

The fact that no one has criticised the Danish goalkeeper shows how well he has replaced Hart, with his ability on the ball just as impressive as his shot-stopping.

At the time of writing, he appears to be a slight upgrade on Hart, which is no criticism of the Englishman, who was an incredible servant to Celtic during his time at the club.

Nicolas Kuhn just goes from strength to strength, with a brace midweek against RB Leipzig in the Champions League and a goal this afternoon against Kilmarnock.

His ability to cut inside and score is unbelievable.

Opposition defenders know what he wants to do when he gets the ball, but what makes it so impressive is that they can’t stop him cutting onto his left foot and scoring.
