CHRIS SUTTON has reacted to Celtic’s loss to St Mirren on Sunday afternoon. It was an extremely poor performance from the away side, with too many changes impacting the side’s rhythm.
Carter-Vicker’s absence was felt, with the defence unable to cope with the balls into the box. St Mirren scored two goals from their two shots on targets, both goals from headers. Starfelt and Carter-Vickers have been incredibly strong in the air; Celtic missed that today.
It’s easy to blame players, but the manager does have to take some of the blame today. It was a rare league loss, but there were far too many changes today, especially with an international break on the horizon.
Taking to Twitter, the former Celtic striker admitted that there were too many changes, and the absence was felt but has admitted there is one positive to take from today’s result.
Lots of changes for Celtic today and maybe too many key players left out. Not the same without CCV, Jota, Hatate and missed McGregor’s speed of passing in the pivot role early on… sometimes a result like this isn’t a bad thing to let the players know they’ve not cracked it !

It was a bad day in the office for Celtic, a rare sight under Postecoglou.
Grey strips, against St. Mirror straps.
On the tv the eyes and brains were confused.
Glad I did not pay for it.
Alex Ferguson quote when the got hummed wearing grey jersies,he was asked did you learn anything about your defeat tonight. Aye , noe the play in the fog was grey jersies
he hasn’t made many mistakes but today’s defeat was 100% down to ange.our squad isn’t good enough to cope with six changes. man city we are not.
