CHRIS SUTTON looks to be performing a slow u-turn on a player he has criticised for quite a while now. The BT pundit has continually given Odsonne Edouard a hard time over the past 18 months believing the striker should be doing more for the team.

Many took exception to that last season because Eddy had his injury problems and it was hard for him to get going.

The former Celtic striker seems to be getting aboard the French Eddy train finally after he smashed a free kick home to put Celtic in a great position for their trip to Sweden.

Edouard is a fantastic player, not just for his goal-scoring ability but his movement and ability to bring others into the game. He can make an opportunity out of nothing and he will continue to show his doubters he is a high calibre player.

If he can get Sutton on board he can get anyone to change their mind!

  1. I thought the team on Thursday evening played very well. Like NL who told to get the ball out to Boli avoiding Jozo, who I felt was not at his best. The pressing by Celtic was superb. Let’s face it Gordon didn’t have a save to make, except the error early on. When we lose the ball it’s important to get it back ASAP, so that we can press and not lose momentum. We did go through a 10 minute spell where we looked as if we were waiting on them scoring.
Regardless, we’ll need a good defence and top effort to see it out in Sweden.
AIK louts tried to ruin the evening, typical Swedes, neutrals in the WW2′ and fakers on the park!
