CELTIC defeated Hearts and maintained the gap at the top of the league, with the league leaders narrowly defeating Livingston.
Big win and 3 points that for Celtic. Ballsy performance ran out of legs second half. Missed Jota’s composure and threat when he went off. Giakoumakis led the line well. Credit Hearts who gave it a real go last 30 minutes. Super advert for Scottish football 👏👏

A thunderous strike from Hatate gave the hoops the lead, Giakoumakis then doubled the hoops’ advantage with a classy finishing, making it two goals in two games for the Greek striker. Jota was exceptional again and is unlucky not to find himself on the scoresheet.
As Chris said, the second-half performance was not on par with the previous forty-five minutes, however, it was enough to bring home the three points. This has been a common theme and Ange will be working hard on the training ground to fix this.
Poor refereeing decisions allowed Hearts to get back into the game and Beaton nearly gifted the Tynecastle side an equalizer, but the post saved Celtic.
Postecoglou’s winter signings are proving key, however, will tonight’s second-half performance tempt the manager to explore the market and bring some players to help maintain the standard of performance throughout the match?
