CHRIS SUTTON has tonight reacted to the news Celtic manager Neil Lennon will leave the club within the next 24 hours.
The news has come after yet another defeat this season to Ross County but in truth, the manager should have been gone a long time ago.
Chris Sutton is good friends with Neil but not even he could defend this season.
Neil Lennon had to go. I know this season has been a disaster but i hope after the anger settles down about this season that people respect that Neil has been a great servant to Celtic both as a player and manager.

He is right about Neil Lennon regaining the respect he has among the support once this season settles down. The Irishman has. come up short of the ten in a row bid and in the end it wasn’t even close.
However, as a player, a captain and a manger he will go down as one of the giants of this club.
Right now, everything is too raw and Neil hasn’t helped himself by the way he’s conducted himself in the media. His back has been against the wall but he lost a lot of friends along the way due to what was perceived as arrogance.
We await the official confirmation.

His arrogance in the face of overwhelming evidence will forever tarnish his legacy which now lays in tatters on the dirty rain sodden streets of Glasgow.
