Chris Sutton has written that he believes Brendan Rodgers is wanting to leave Celtic.
It comes as the manager is entering the final months of his contract, set to expire next summer.
Despite some talks, there has been no formal offer made to the manager and one doesn’t seem imminent.
Brendan Rodgers wasn’t backed in the summer, and then was briefed against by a tabloid newspaper.
And Chris Sutton has now said that the manager wants to leave Celtic.
Writing in the Daily Record, the former Celtic striker blunty started his article with:
“I’m starting to believe that Brendan Rodgers wants out of Celtic.
“There, I’ve said it”
Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that he would extend his contract if conditions were met.
He didn’t go into detail about what those conditions would be, but fans have drawn their own assumptions.
When it comes to managing Celtic, Rodgers will have done so for nearly six years when the summer rolls around, that’s a long time for any manager.
The club may well decide that they need some freshness around the place, which wouldn’t be surprising.
The manager may also wish to explore his options, maybe look back at the Premier League or abroad.
Whatever happens, a decision has to be made soon.

I posted this ” news” about a month ago…and was accused of guesswork…I hope my detractor will now attack Mr.Sutton in the same manner.
Rodgers has been lying to the fans since the day he came back! He has NEVER intended staying beyond three years, and ALWAYS hoped the board would do one of two things; a. Get rid of the one person Rodgers has a personal vendetta with, or b. Fire him so that he doesn’t come across as the bad guy again!
Let’s not kid ourselves here! Rodgers is all about Rodgers! NOT Celtic! He is a toxic presence and the cause of the problems at the club today.
