Chris Sutton has praised one man in particular after Celtic’s victory over St Mirren on Wednesday night.

The Hoops ran out 2-0 winners against a stubborn St Mirren side who tried their best to keep Celtic at bay.

In the end, the constant pressure told and Celtic made the breakthrough in the second half after Mohamed Elyounoussi latched onto Edouard’s rebound which hit the post but fell to the Norwegian for another goal in the Hoops.

Celtic would make sure of all three points after that when some nice footwork played James Forrest in who took his time and picked his spot to make it 2-0 on the evening.

It was a great end to a busy day for James after he signed a new four-year deal with the club before kick-off.

Chris Sutton noted the player’s contribution on the night and praised his loyalty.
