CHRIS SUTTON has reacted to Celtic’s heavy defeat against Bayer Leverkusen by branding the German club ‘ruthless’.

The Englishman, however, is still with Ange and his team claiming they need more time to bed in before they can fully be judged.

The Hoops were outplayed for most of the game but they did have decent spells at the start of each half. The chances we did have were dealt with very well by the Bayer keeper and the Bundesliga side did not need a second invitation to get among the goals.

Bayer Leverkusen was always going to be tough opponents for Celtic and even if we played to our full potential, we would have still needed a bit of luck.

We have a thin squad and two of our top players got thrown right back into the thick of things after three weeks out.

At some point, Ange will have no excuses, for now, if we can get a win against Aberdeen and make it to the international break to regroup and get players back – October could be a big month.

  1. These players need to man up and start dishing it out to each other when they’re due a roasting…if they can’t take it, they ain’t emotionally ready or mature enough for the environment they’re in (talented or not).
Sulking, fragile snowflakes doesn’t do at Celtic…never has and never will.
Our dressing room motto should be ‘NO COMPROMISE’.
Ffs somebody get that message through to this squad of players and never let them forget it.
