Celtic lost by three goals to nil at Ibrox on Saturday as Ange Postecoglou’s men put in a sub-par display.
From the game, a number of negatives were to be taken although Chris Sutton’s post match Tweet would’ve made some fans chuckle.
The former Hoops striker said on Twitter:
Well done Rangers on winning the Doesn’t Matter Trophy against Celtic Reserves 🏆… brilliant stuff👏👏👏
— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) May 13, 2023
Postecoglou did play a sub par side on Saturday and the match didn’t matter yet the result was still disappointing for supporters.
Nevertheless, Sutton is right in saying what he did in the Tweet.
Going forward, Celtic and Postecoglou will learn from the game.
For the Australian, he didn’t pick the correct starting eleven however the players themselves didn’t perform.
Both of these factors are concerning although it should be remembered Celtic are back to back champions of Scotland and are on for a treble.
Trophy day will bring back positivity and on the 3rd of June, there could be even more celebration as the Bhoys look to secure their domestic clean sweep.
